Passed away peacefully on August 17, 2022, at the age of 86. Predeceased by her loving husband Robert “Smoky” Wilson (2018). Dearest mother of John, Richard and wife Mary, the late Robert (1991), Andrew and wife Melissa. Cherished grandmother of Vanessa, Robert, Christopher and wife Michele, Emily, Katherine, Beverly and John, the late Spencer (2021), and Connor. Treasured great-grandmother of Remmi and Parker Wilson. Predeceased by her father Jack and step-father Ross, and her mother Margaret. Sister of Jerry Turner and predeceased by her sister Marion. Forever remembered by her nieces, Monica and Michelle and their families.
Betty dedicated many years of service in her secretarial position at Christ the King School before her retirement. She always enjoyed running into former students and was touched that they remembered her from their grade school. After her retirement, Betty was an avid Bridge player. She also loved collecting antiques and was part of Questers, a group always looking for the next antique auction. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, and she enjoyed her home, which was her castle. Betty was a skilled painter, filling the home with soft oil portraits, gentle landscapes, and lively florals. She crafted the trimmings and décor with care and creativity, while Smoky kept up with repair and maintenance. Together, they built a home open to all who loved them and whom they loved.

Visitation Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. On Thursday, August 25, 2022, friends are invited to join the family at a Funeral Mass to celebrate Betty’s life at 10:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 1400 Cabana Road West. Burial to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
