It is with heavy hearts, but love and understanding, that we bid goodbye to Betty on her next adventure. She passed away peacefully at her home in Duncan, BC, surrounded by friends and family. Betty is survived by her son Chris Ruming (Kathy) and grandson Jake, sister Joan Chaput ( Hub) and nephews Richard and Paul, and brother Ian McMahon (Sandy) and nephew Chris.
Betty was born in Shoal Lake, Manitoba on October 28th, 1951, and predeceased by her parents Roy and Nessie McMahon.
Betty always had an amazing compassion and affinity for the “underdog”, which naturally led her into a long and successful career as a nurse. She loved to travel and see the world, game to try out any new experience. She was an advocate for all animals and had many four-legged buddies through out her life, leaving Rhody behind her. Although she was a private and independent soul, she had some amazing friendships, dating back to grade school.
Betty would especially like to thank Evelyn Taylor, good friend and major support and caregiver during the last couple of difficult years. She would also like to thank M.A.I.D. and Dr. Wilhelm for allowing her to choose this courageous and dignified exit when life was no longer fun.
Love you, Bets
See you in the next chapter
