Haslam, Elizabeth Louise “Betty” –
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Betty Haslam in her 96th year on October 6, 2022. Born in Wainfleet, ON in 1927, she spent most of her life in Port Colborne, moving to Guelph in 2016.
She was predeceased by her husband Bill (1997), daughter Susan (2014), her parents, and eight brothers and sisters. Survived by her son Leonard “Len” and daughter-in-law Mary Ann Grape of Guelph. Will be missed by her special friends Reverend Elliston Bridger and his wife Joy of St. Catherines and by so many people who simply knew her by Grandma “H”.
A very special thank you to the wonderful staff at Cambridge County Manor who made her last couple of years comfortable.
Arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St. Guelph, where cremation has taken place and a family service will be planned at a future date. Donations to commemorate her life can be made to a charity of your choice or the next time you see her favourite thing in the world, a Canada Goose, fly by; just wave and say “Safe Travels Betty”.
