It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of
Elizabeth ‘Bette’ Nora Copp, formerly of
Amherst, NS and Baie Verte, NB, at the Kenneth E. Spencer
Memorial Home in Moncton on Tuesday October 11, 2022.
Bette was one month shy of her 96th
birthday. Born in Ingelow, MB, she was a
daughter of the late Fred and Susan (MacQuarrie)
Clark.
After finishing school, Bette went to Winnipeg where she
studied dressmaking. Later she moved to Toronto to
teach sewing. Aubrey and Bette met in
Toronto where they married and moved to Baie Verte, NB, later
moving to Goose Bay, Labrador and then to Elmsdale,
NS. They would eventually retire and return
to their home in Baie Verte to enjoy traveling together
throughout Canada and the US.
Bette will be
dearly missed by her children, Linda Copp, Moncton, Sheryl (Bob)
Cowcill, Edmonton, Judy (Mike) Bolen, Arthur, ON, and
daughter-in-law, Norma Copp, Red Deer, AB; nine
grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren, and four great great
grandchildren. She is also survived by her
brothers, Arthur and Cecil Clark as well as many nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, she was
predeceased by her husband, Aubrey; a son, Rodney and an infant son,
Dale, as well as several brothers and sisters.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of
Jones Funeral Homes, Sackville and Port
Elgin NB (506-364-1300). A
graveside service will take place at the Fernwood Cemetery on
Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 1 pm. All are welcome
to attend.
