Passed peacefully away Friday, September 15, 2022 Elizabeth Anne Dempsey (nee Bassett). Predeceased by parents James and Claudine Bassett (nee Best), son David, brother David Bassett, in-laws Pat and Sarah Dempsey, brothers-in-law John Dempsey and Rodney Hall.
Left with fond and loving memories, her husband of 44 years Patrick (Pat) Dempsey and son Patrick (Jenny). Cherished grandchildren Áine Elizabeth Anne Dempsey, Finley James Blackmore (Mother Rebecca), sisters; Mary Lou Hall, Dorothea MacLaughlan (Craig), Catherine Steer (Ian), In laws; Erin Dempsey (Gail), Carmel Strong (Robert), Gerri Barbour (Roger), Mary Hayes (Max), Noel Dempsey (Glenys) and Sarah Dempsey. As well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Paul Jackman, Dr. Sean Connors, and Dr. Kathy Hodgkinson for their excellent care over the years.
The family will receive visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Monday, September 19 from 7-9 p.m., and Tuesday, September 20 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held from St. Pius X Parish, Smithville Crescent, on Wednesday, September 21 at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Elizabeth’s memory may be made to the SADS Foundation www.arvcfamilysupport.org.
