Obituary of Eleanor Turnbull
Eleanor passed away at home with her loving family by her side on January 16, 2022. Born in Bosanquet Township, on April 9, 1934, Eleanor Louise (née Page) Turnbull, of Owen Sound, was in her 88th year. Born again August 13, 1950.
Beloved wife of Ronald Turnbull for 67 years. Loving mother of Sharon (Don) Curry of Owen Sound, Sandra (Rick) Taylor of Melfort, SK, and Thomas Turnbull of Owen Sound. Cherished grandma of Jeffrey (Cheryl) Curry, Rebecca (Aaron) Brookham, Reuben Taylor, Quentin (Lisa) Taylor, Jory (Lori) Taylor, Juanita (Ben) Kember, and great grandma of 16. Dear sister of Shirley Todd of Hamilton, Grace Sweeney of London, Carl (Linda) Page of London, Linda (Ron) Springer of Lansing, MI, and sister-in-law of Anna (Hubert) Lucas of Kirkfield, and Irene Grove of Courtis. Eleanor will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by her parents Art and Lena (née Rawlings) Page, her sister Eileen (Eric) Whalley, and by her siblings-in-law Robert Todd, Pat Sweeney, Grace (Keith) Gork, and Alma Turnbull.
Visitation will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Wednesday, January 19th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. All attendees must wear a mask, follow social distancing protocols and RSVP via the funeral home website or by calling. A private funeral service to celebrate Eleanor’s life will be held on Thursday, January 20th, and will be livestreamed at 1:00 p.m. via the funeral home website. A video recording of the service will be posted to Eleanor’s webpage after the service as well. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Owen Sound.
