McCormick, Margaret Eleanor (Stearns)
Peacefully, on Monday April 4, 2022, after a valiant battle with brain cancer Eleanor McCormick in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of Willis McCormick for 61 years. Cherished mother of Pam (Jody Watson) and Jeff (Joan). Extremely proud grandmother of Taylor (Chris Campbell), Riley, Josh and Adele and great-grandmother of Max and Ellie. Lovingly remembered by cousin Dorothy Stratton and special friend Mary Hume. Daughter of the late Olin and Marjorie Stearns. Eleanor was a long-time teacher most notably at Blossom Park and Hopewell Public Schools and was the organist and children’s choir director at South Gloucester United Church. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Daley Family Funeral Home, 6971 Bank Street, from 6-8 pm on Thursday April 7 and 10-11am on Friday April 8 followed by a Memorial Service in the Chapel at 11 am. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Township of Osgoode Care Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Township of Osgoode Care Centre 7650 Snake Island Rd. Metcalfe, ON K0A 2P0 or South Gloucester United Church 2536 Rideau Rd. Gloucester K1X 1A1would be most appreciated.
