Eleanor Jean (Harvey)
Haggerty, of Centreville, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022 in
Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville at the age of 98. Born in
Kentville, she was a daughter of the late Barry and Margaret (Mahar)
Harvey. Eleanor is survived by her children, Anita (Richard) Brooks
and Byrian (Mary) Haggerty; brother, Jim Harvey; grandchildren, Aimee
and Natalie Brooks, Christopher, Amanda and William (Caeleigh)
Haggerty; great-grandson, Lachlan; and special niece and nephew, Marie
Harvey and Terry Strickland. In addition to her parents, she was
predeceased by her husband, Earl W. Haggerty; brothers, George,
Maurice, Clyde, Kenneth, Gordon and Robert, in infancy; and sisters,
Leota O’Connell and Joan Arenburg. There will be no
visitation, by request. The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m.
on Thursday, December 29, 2022, in the White Family Funeral Home,
Kentville. For those unable to attend, a video webcast will be
available at the time of the service. Interment will take place in Elm
Grove Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of
one’s choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to
the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. To
