Wife of the late T. Lewin Moilliet, Eleanor passed away peacefully on December 4th, 2022. Born in Camrose Alberta…she is lovingly remembered by numerous families in Canada and Norway. Eleanor’s Grandmother and 2yr old mother, as immigrants from Norway, survived the ill-fated Empress of Ireland ship. This ship went down in 1914 (Halifax) with a great loss of life. Eleanor’s career path included her role as copy editor and writer with Victoria’s radio station CJVI and as secretary with the Ministry of Health for 23 years (her absolute dream career challenge).
At Eleanor’s request, there will be no service. Donations to the SPCA would be welcome. Burial will be on the grounds of St. Ann’s ancient log church, Parksville B.C. next to her beloved husband, Lewin. From Eleanor to everyone she knew and loved: Nil Desperandum and make yours a ‘kindness’ day.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.
