Elda May Ball nee Everitt 2022

It is with profound sadness and sorrow that we announce Elda May, beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 20 at the age of 90 following more than a decade of surviving with COPD.
Elda was born and raised in the little town of Kent Bridge ON which always held a special place in her heart. She married the love of her life, Jack Ball in 1952; Jack passed away in 1987. Elda is survived by her 4 children Bill (Janice), Fred (Nancy), Deby and David (Vanessa); her fifth child, Katherine, was born with a heart condition and passed away shortly after birth. Elda will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Pam, Lisa, Angie, Tara, Shane, Jason, Alex, Andrew, Billy, Greg, Jamie-Lee and Kaitlyn and her many great grandchildren.
Elda and Jack raised their family in Brampton ON, and after Jack’s passing Elda moved to Huntsville to be closer to her sister as she loved the slower pace of life in Muskoka. Her passion for crafts: needlepoint, cross stitch, making necklaces and more, flourished while working with her sister Ruth at Past Time Hobbies, in Huntsville. Elda is predeceased by her sister, and best friend, Ruth (Ricciotti) Bailey, and brother Byron Everitt.
Our dearest Elda will always be remembered for her warmth, sense of humour, exceptional wit and unwavering elegance, and grace.
In January 2020 it appeared Elda’s COPD had reached the final stage and she was admitted to Hospice Huntsville. Elda’s passion for life defied the odds; but, due to COVID she ended up being their longest in-house surviving patient, enjoying the expert care of this wonderful facility for 11 months until being transferred to The Pines in Bracebridge.
Thank you so much to The Pines in Bracebridge; Elda truly appreciated the exceptionally caring Maples staff and always enjoyed the food!
In lieu of flowers, a contribution to Hospice Huntsville in memory of Elda is a gift she would sincerely appreciate www.hospicehuntsville.com/donate-2/
A private burial will be held at Brampton Memorial Gardens where Elda will be interned next to her husband Jack.
A celebration of life will follow in the new year.

We offer our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Elda May Ball nee Everitt 2022  and hope that their memory may be a source of comfort during this difficult time. Your thoughts and kind words are greatly appreciated.
