Obituary of Elaine Joan Wells
Wells (nee Purcell), Elaine Joan – Halifax
Age 87, formally of Purcell’s Cove, slipped away peacefully on March 3, 2022 at Arborstone Enhanced Care after a long battle with Dementia.
She is now in heaven with Dad (Wally), Jim and Tim.
She is survived by her daughter Kim Conway and son-in-law Steve Conway; Daughter-in-law Elaine Wells-Drake; Grandchildren Brandon and Brenda Wells, Scott and Chris Conway; Brother Mike (Marilyn) Purcell Halifax; Sister Celee Dryden, Langley BC, and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents Alice (Innes) and Stanley Purcell; Sisters Dot Goodman, Trudy Purcell, Lillian (Bing) Thomas, Jackie Popek, Edie Ross, Margie MacIntosh and Brothers Steve Purcell and Allen Purcell.
Mom always had something in her hands while watching baseball on TV whether it was knitting, crocheting or plastic canvas. She loved spending time at her trailer during the summers in the early years at Brule Beach, to Klahanie Kamping to finally at Wayside Campground.
Mom was a very active senior enjoying time spent bowling at the Spryfield Bowlarama, past member of the Young at Heart Club, and the Royal Canadian Legion, Spryfield Branch.
A special thanks to the staff of the 3rd Floor Arborstone Enhanced Care for taking such great care of Mom and especially to Jeff, Donna, Carol Ann, Tammy and Rose. Also, thank you to Diana McNeil who was a dear friend to Mom and visited her often at Arborstone.
Mom, I know you are at peace now and not tormented by Dementia anymore. You are now dancing away with Dad in heaven with Jim and Tim by your side. You are with your boys.
A private graveside service will be in the spring where she will be laid to rest with Dad and Tim in Purcell’s Cove.
