Elaine Sylvia Charette Wednesday October 12th 2022

Charette, Elaine Sylvia–
Elaine Sylvia Charette of Guelph passed away peacefully at her Riverside Glen home on October 12, 2022. She was in her 88th year. She is predeceased by her husband Webb. Survived by her two children Diane Mitchell (Bob) and Norman Charette (Kathy), grandmother to Pam Knoll and Corey Charette (Blair) and great grandmother to Chloe Knoll.
Elaine was a woman of many interests and talents. She worked for 23 years in the children’s department of the Guelph Public Library. Her creativity was put to good use in the many displays she worked on tirelessly to perfect. Through the years she made many amazing quilts, was a part of the Therapeutic Touch Network, an avid gardener and member of the Wildflower Society. She volunteered at Hospice Wellington, but what brought her the most joy was learning to Ballroom Dance with her devoted and beloved husband, Webb.
She made many friends at Riverside Glen since her husband’s passing. Everyone who knew her will miss her quick wit and strong spirit.
A special thanks to all the staff in the Eggerton Neighborhood at Riverside Glen for their endless kindness and care especially in these last few weeks.
Cremation has taken place and the family will have a private dedication. If you wish to make a donation in Elaine’s memory her wishes would be that they be made to the Guelph Public Library or to Hospice Wellington.
Donation cards are available at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, 519-822-4731 or online at www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com
