Obituary of Eileen Martha Noble
Eileen Noble
(nee Butler)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Eileen Martha Noble on Wednesday January 12, 2022 at Lakeridge Hospital at the age of 94.
Eileen was the beloved wife of the late John Noble for 39 years and was predeceased by her daughter Ruth Anne. She will be forever loved and missed by her children Kerry (Shelagh) , Sharon, Sandra (Vaughn), Kevin (Christina) and Brian (Elsy). She was the proud grandmother of Heather (Greg), Julia (Derek), Alison, Arthur, Nye, Alexander, Gabriella, Adrianna, Joshua, Blake and Josie. She was also a proud great grandmother to Lily, Emilia and Olivia.
Eileen was a tireless volunteer in her community and, among her many accomplishments, she was a Girl Guide leader when her children were young. She volunteered with Community Care for 25 years delivering for Meals on Wheels. Eileen was very involved in her church and was president of the Ladies Auxiliary Group and later Clerk of Session for St Andrew’s Church of Bowmanville. In her later years she enjoyed travelling to Europe, the Caribbean and Alaska. She was an avid fan of any sporting event where one of her children or grandchildren were participants. She was also an avid bowler for 50 years. Incredibly social, there was scarcely a door she could walk through in her community where she didn’t know someone. She was always at her happiest spending time with friends and family.
Visitation will be held at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville on Sunday January 16th from 1 – 2 pm. To register a space, please call the funeral home at (905) 623-5668 between the hours of 9 – 4. Due to circumstances the service will be by invitation only. To view virtually, a link will be provided on the website. Memorial Donations may be made to Durham Region Hospice, Clarington.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Eileen

Death notice for the town of: Bowmanville, Province: Ontario
Eileen was one of my patients at the hearing clinic. I absolutely loved having her in and looked forward to every appointment. She had the most amazing stories of her youth and she was always so kind and sweet.
One of my favourite things about her was how fiercely independent and active she was. She would tell me about chair yoga and update me on her family.
Eileen was full of love and light and I was so lucky to have met her and be even a small part of her life. She never knew how much she touched me. I will always remember her.
