Obituary
A funeral service for Eileen White will take place on Friday, July 29th, 2022 at 2:00 PM from St. Joseph’s Parish, St. George’s. Followed by interment at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Shallop Cove.
Passed away peacefully on December 13th, 2020 at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital surrounded by her loving family, Eileen Mary White, at the age of 87 years.
She is survived by: children: Elizabeth (Peter), Athabasca, AB, Danny (Nadine), Rick (Louise), St. George’s, NL, Dwayne, Whitby, ON, Stephen (Marie-Claude), Ottawa, ON, and Rodney (Dawn), Kitchener, ON; sister Maureen Brennen (Jimmy) Stephenville Crossing, NL; brothers: Edmund, Barrie, ON, Edward, St. John’s, NL, and Harold (Dina), St. George’s, NL. Eileen also leaves to mourn: grandchildren: Trent (Angela), Nicole (Josh), Graham, Ashley (Christopher), Nathan (Elizabeth), Beth (Lucas), Emery, Ryan, Tyler, Mitchell, Brandon, and Cole; great grandchildren: Jude, Morgan, William, Thora, and Sara; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by: husband Walter; parents Genevieve and Walter Sheppard; sister Theresa; and brothers: Kevin and Leonard.
Eileen will always be remembered as a woman who loved caring for others. She tended to their needs before her own. Her unconditional love, generosity, and laughter will be cherished forever by those whose lives she touched.
Following her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Eileen’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation.
Heartfelt thanks to all those who made it possible for mother to live in the comfort of her home, especially her home support workers. A special thank you to the St. George’s Fire Department, Russell’s Ambulance Services and the staff at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital.
