It is with great sadness, the family of Eileen Boisvert, announces her peaceful passing on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at the age of 89 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 68 years, Lawrence; children Douglas (Jacquie), Susan (Chris), and Bill; grandchildren: Christopher, Meagan, Amy (Colin), Clayton (Bethany), Connor (Justine), Dalton (Jessie), Jess; great-grandchildren: Alexis, Cody, Kylie, Landon, George, Murphy, Cooper, Ellebri, Ember, Grayden, Isla; brother, Ross (Shirlee); brother-in-law, Donald (Linda); and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her grandson, Joshua; great-grand-daughter, Poppy; her sisters Ellen, Willis, Sandra; brothers-in-law, Norm, Fred; sisters-in-law Jeanne, Gerry, Henriette; and parents, Bill and Blanche.
Eileen’s working years were dedicated to education, working as a school librarian for many years. In the latter part of her career, she worked in the library, at SAIT in Calgary and NAIT in Edmonton, where she very much enjoyed working with the young adult students. She was a great sport enthusiast, an avid golfer and curler, participating into her early 80’s. She rarely missed a chance to cheer on her children and grand-children at various sporting events. In her retirement yearss Eileen and Lawrence travelled, spending winters in the warm Arizona sun.
The family is extremely grateful to the staff at Eaux Claires Extendicare for their excellent care and compassion given to Mom.
