It is with great sadness that the family of the late Effie Simms announce her passing on Friday, April 22, 2022 at the Calder Health Care Centre in Burgeo at the age of 68 years. Leaving to mourn with fond memories, her common law husband Allan Barter; sister Rose (Stan), Shirley (Ralph), Margaret (Graham) and Patricia; brother Wesley; brothers and sisters-in-law; Geraldine, Charlie (Florence), Emery (Gail), Sandra (Sandy), Delphine (Don), as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents John and Sarah Simms, brothers Kyrl, Hubert, Edward, John and Sidney; sister Minnie; parents-in-law Jerry and Maggie Barter. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 27th at 2:00 p.m. from St. Boniface Anglican church, Ramea followed by burial at the church cemetery. Reverend Elsie Rose officiating.
