BROWN, Edwin Ernest Lindley – it is with profound sadness and with a grateful blessing that Ernie passed peacefully on Wednesday April 20, 2022, in his 86th year. He is survived by his wife Terry Joan (nee Robertson) Brown, his daughter Heather Marie and his son Todd Ernest Brown(Lisa). He was a proud grandfather to Fiona, Gillian, Lucas, Katie and Belinda. A very proud great-grandfather to Ellie, Popi, Deena, Evelyn and Josiah. Also survived and loved by two sisters Connie (Don) and Diane (Bill), and many nieces and nephews. He is reunited with three predeceased sisters Fran (Frank), Shirley (Mac), Barbara (Jim) and many happy memories of the Brown and Robertson families. Also survived and loved by sister-in-law Barbara Macdonald (John) and brother-in-law Robert Robertson (Linda) and nieces Tyley and Ann. Born in Trenton, Ontario in 1936. Ernie lived a fairly quiet life that is as normal as having five sisters could be. After a successful and dedicated 37 years working at the Royal Bank, he spent many happy years in retirement travelling through the United States, Canada, Europe, South America and the Caribbean. He loved sailing his boat on Lake Ontario, golfing, gardening and having fun with family and many friends. He served as President of Dawn Patrol for two five year terms while in Hamilton, proving his willingness to always help anyone in need. His greatest strength was his love to his family and his dedication to their love and support to one another. Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service at Mount Hope Cemetery Memorial Garden, Brighton on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. Reverend Wanda Stride officiating. Following the Service there will be a reception at the Trent Port Marina, 15 Creswell Drive, Trenton. If desired Memorial Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
