Obituary
After a rough struggle with pneumonia, our brother Charles passed away peacefully and surrounded by family members at Health Sciences Center, MICU unit in Winnipeg, Manitoba on June 24th, 2022, at the age of 59 years old.
Charles was born and raised in Seymourville, Manitoba by our parents Frank and Julia Seymour. He attended Wanipigow School up to his senior year in high school. Since he was not a fan of school, he decided to work alongside our dad as a commercial fisherman and a trapper. It was out on the lake and in the bush my brother found his love for life. He was an exceptional trapper, well known for the quality of his furs, and an even more superb fisherman.
Charles will be lovingly remembered by his siblings: Doris Seymour, Vivian Hardisty (Norbert), Corrine Barker (Furlon), Lindsay Seymour, Velma (Gail) Ballantyne, & Bernel Helgason (Darrell), his biological siblings: Delores Moneyas (Joe), Wayne Seymour, Tricia Bear, his best friend Barry McKenzie and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Charles was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Julia Seymour, his biological parents, Wallace and Ruth Seymour, his siblings Doreen Zelma Moneas, Elaine Berens, and his biological sibling Marie Seymour.
A wake service will be held for one night at Seymourille Community Hall on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, and a celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the Seymourville Community Hall in Seymourville, Manitoba.
The family would like to thank the medical staff at Health Sciences Center for their efforts taking care of Charles during his stay at the hospital.
