Hall, Edward
Born Nov. 12, 1930 in Newcastle-uponTyne England, Ed passed peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital with family at his side on July 30, 2022. He is reunited with his loving wife Bertha, “Babs” who passed away in 2019. Proud father to Michael (Gina), Ian, and Kimberly (Chris). Devoted Grandad to Mark, Andrew (Ellyse) and Lauren (Mike) , Caitlin, Jordan as well as Kennedy, Petra, Ava, Haddie and Henry. Also survived by his brother Peter (Wilma) and his extended family including his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Harry (Shelia) and Danny (Gladys)
Ed retired as an Engineering Manager at Horton CBI in Fort Erie. He and Babs shared a wonderful life, that began with many cycling trips around England and continued with extensive world travel, Ballroom Dancing, golfing and fishing. Ed served with the RAF Regiment and for much of his life he honed his artistic talent leaving a lifetime of work to be enjoyed.
Thank you to the professional staff and medical team at GNGH and to everyone at Gilmore Lodge for the wonderful care and kindness over the 5 years that Dad called Gilmore Lodge home.
Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 5th from 11 am until the time of the service in the chapel at 1 o’clock. Interment at Ridgeway Memorial Cemetery. If so desired, donations to the Niagara Health Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
