Edward P. McCullough
1945-2022
The family is saddened that their loving brother Edward Peter
McCullough passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at the River Valley
Hospital in Waterville, NB.
Ed, born on June 11, 1945, was the son of the late Joseph and Rosaleen
(McElroy) McCullough. Raised on a farm he learned the value of hard
work. After high school graduation in 1965 he attended trade school in
Edmunston specializing in chemical processing. He worked for many
years in Toronto at the Clarke Institute. He returned home to Mineral
in 1976 and worked at Juniper Lumber as a salesman. He was very active
in the Knights of Columbus, liberal politics and the Irish
Association. Following a tragic accident in 1985 resulting in head
trauma he was unable to return to work. The last few years he endured
many health issues but continued to enjoy jokes, playing cards and
telling stories of times past.
He was predeceased by brother Francis and sister Kathleen. Ed is
survived by his sisters Mary Lou McCullough, Rose Marie Robinson,
brothers Paul McCullough, Leo McCullough, Ted (Marilyn) McCullough and
Brian McCullough. The family thanks Lorraine and the staff at the
Lansdowne Special Care Home for the excellent and compassionate care
he received for the last seven years.
A Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church,
Johnville will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 11:00 am. The
interment will be held in the Johnville Cemetery. Donations in
Ed’s memory to Brain Injury Canada or the Johnville Cemetery
fund are appreciated. L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors are entrusted
with the arrangements. www.gibersonfuneraldirectors.ca (506)
