ALLEN, Edmund James “Ted” (aka Santa Claus) passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones at Campbell House Hospice on Monday March 28, 2022 in his 84th year. Ted, loving husband of 22 years to Debbie Allen (nee Jenner). Loving father of the late Greg (December 15, 2021) (Kelly), Daryl and Blair (Sharon). Devoted grandpa of James (Rebekah), Katie (Dane), Wyatt, McGuire, Emerson and Keaton. Ted was the only child of Emma (Warburton) and James Allen. He worked in sales for many years until retirement. In retirement, he volunteered his time with Habitat for Humanity and the Georgian Triangle Humane Society. Ted was a familiar face during the holiday season. He enjoyed the excitement and spreading the magic of Christmas with young and old as Santa. He was the best Santa ever and will be missed. A special thank you to the caring staff at Campbell House for your care, support and for dressing up in your Christmas attire during Ted’s stay with you. A Celebration of Ted’s life will be held at Clearview Community Church (formerly Lighthouse Community Church), 800 Sunnidale Road, Wasaga Beach on Saturday April 23, 2022 at 1:00p.m. Remembrances of Ted may be made to Hospice Georgian Triangle – Campbell House (www.hospicegeorgiantriangle.com).
