Edith is predeceased by the love of her life, Cecil Thornhill; parents, Hayward & Edith Sparkes; sisters: Greta, Joyce, and Jean; and brothers: Sydney, Willoughby, Derek, and Harry.
Our mom was a beautiful woman, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was gentle, kind, loving, thoughtful, caring, and a hardworker. She loved a good laugh, a joke, and spending time at the cabin in Howley, her favourite spot. Despite Mom’s health struggles, she continued to smile, be selfless, kind, and compassionite, and always wanting to help others. Her family were her life. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. As per Edith’s wishes cremation has taken place. There will be no formal service at this time. As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made in Edith’s memory to a charity of ones choice.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Edith Mae Thornhill Sparkes June 2 1939 April 17 2022..
