It is with deep sadness we announce the
passing of (Evelyn) Gail Van der Sleen,
age 83, of Maccan, NS. Gail passed away on Monday July 4, 2022 at the
Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.
Born in New Toronto, ON, she was a
daughter of the late John and Maye (Liscombe) Taylor.
Gail’s happiest times were at her
cottage. When she was able, she loved to go for walks and fish. Gail
loved to knit and do puzzles but above all else, she loved her family,
especially her grandkids.
Gail will be dearly missed by her
daughters Cindy Lee Taylor, Terry Ann (Frank) Landells and Kathy Lyn
Knight (Scott Gargaro); grandchildren George, Kassey, Kayla, Kris,
Beau and Jan; several great-grandchildren and one great great
grandchild; sister Karen and brother John as well as several nieces
and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased
by her husband Klaas, brother Robert and grandson Tony
Davey
Arrangements are under the care and
guidance of the Jones Family Funeral
Centre, 70 Church Street, Amherst, NS (902-667-8777).
In keeping with Gail’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there
will be no services at this time.
Donations in memory of Gail may be made
to Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer
Society.
