Dwight Wayne Fraser
1946-2022
With heavy hearts, the
family of Dwight Wayne Fraser, age 76, of Kentville, announces his
passing in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville on Tuesday, October
18, 2022. Born in Kentville, he was a son of the late Maynard and
Frieda (MacDonald) Fraser.
Dwight was a hog
farmer for most of his life. After retirement, he worked at Bulk Barn
with his wife, Heather. He was a past member of the Canning Lions
Club, and enjoyed Bingo, fishing, dancing and bowling. Above all, he
loved spending time with his family and pets.
Dwight is survived by
his wife, Heather (Ross); sons, Maynard, Dwayne (Julie) and Dwight Lee
(Kim); daughter, Angela; stepsons, Larry (Melanie) and Dwight
“D.J.”; brother, Eric (Kaye) Fraser; sister, Jean
(Donald) Morine; grandchildren, Vanessa, Justin, Haley, Christopher
(Dezzerae), Brandon, Jessica, Sierra, Savanna (Nick) and Brooke;
step-grandchildren, Sierra Barry, Colton Barry, Samantha, Tyiesha, and
Hope; great-grandchildren, Adiline, Jace and Apryl, as well as a
great-grandson and great-granddaughter on the way; and his fur babies:
dogs, Bruiser and Abbie, and cat, Daisy Duke.
In addition to his
parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Brenda (Crocker);
brother, Lawrence; and dog, Rocky.
Visitation will be
held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 20 in the White
Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service will also be
held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, Reverend Doctor Mark Parent
officiating. For those unable to attend, a video webcast will be
available at the time of the service. A private family interment will
be held in Scott’s Bay Cemetery, Scott’s Bay.
Donations in memory may be made to Diabetes Canada. Funeral
