Obituary of Duncan Wesley Munn
On Thursday, May 26, 2022 at the Dr Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, NB, Duncan Wesley Munn left this Earth to meet his Savior the Lord Jesus Christ. He will be greatly missed. Duncan was born in Hazelton, NB on November 4, 1947.
Duncan is survived by his wife of 53 years, Deborah (Merrett); daughters, Ann (Chris), Linda (Derek), Wendy (Greg); son, Darren (Vickey). He was proud to be part of a large family and is survived by 14 siblings, Dorene, Sally, Everett, Nilah, Gene, Fred, Percy, Ronnie, Gayle, Jack, Benny, Mike, Sheila and Mark. He was “Grampy” and “Grampy Dunc” to 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren who loved him dearly.
He was predeceased by a sister, Grace; mother, Mary and father, Wesley.
Over the years Duncan worked several jobs, most memorable being a school bus driver in Doaktown and custodian at the Doaktown School where he retired in 2014. Being a man of great faith and conviction, he also became an ordained minister.
Visitation will take place at Abundant Life Church, Main Street, Doaktown on Monday, May 30, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from the church on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 2 pm with Rev. Ronald Carroll officiating. Interment will follow in the Doaktown First Pentecostal Cemetery. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff of 3SW and 4SE at the DECRH for their care of Duncan. The family would appreciate donations to be directed to any charity benefiting children. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
