Obituary of Drucella Penney
Passed peacefully away in the presence of her daughter and son-in-law on Sunday, August 7th in hospital Drucella Penney formerly of Salmon Cove, age 98 years.
Predeceased by husband Mark; parents: Mary Jane and Ernest Slade; two brothers: Garfield and Max; daughter-in-law: Ruth Penney.
Leaving to mourn, two sons: Harold, Georgetown, ON and Clyde (Valerie O’Leary), PEI; daughter: Shirley (Ivan) Welland, ON; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Adeline Slade and also a large number of other relatives and friends.
Special thanks to homecare worker Christine Oates who cared for her for four years.
Visitation at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Thursday, August 11th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Funeral service to take place on Friday at 2:00 p.m. from Riverside United Church, Salmon Cove.
Interment in Riverside United Cemetery, Salmon Cove.
