Toby, Dr. Jeffers
January 29, 1950 – August 4, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dr. Augustus Jeffers Toby, on August 4, 2022 at the age of 72, surrounded by his loving family. Jeffers will be deeply missed by his loving wife Emerald, his daughter Zakiya (Christian Erwig), and his grandchildren Sariya, Carsten, and Jalen. Jeffers is pre-deceased by his mom Girline.
Jeffers Graduated from McMaster University in 1975, with a Masters in Psychology, and from the University of Toronto in 1984 with a Doctorate in Psychology. He was also a long time member of the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA).
Jeffers had a love for photography, gardening, traveling and all that life had to offer. He will be remembered for his humour and generosity of spirit. Jeffers had the type of humour to light up a whole room, no matter what the situation.
The family would like to thank Dr. Mian at the Juravinski Cancer Centre, as well as all the staff, for their kindness, compassion, and assistance through Jeffers time with them.
Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home – “William J. Markey Chapel”, 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Wednesday August 17th, from 2:00pm – 3:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held following the visitation, at 3:00pm, in the Chapel.
In Lieu of flowers memorial donations made to Myeloma Canada would be appreciated.
