Obituary of Douglas Lawrence Chandler
The nieces and nephews of Douglas Lawrence Chandler are sad to announce his passing on August 9, 2022, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was predeceased by his mother, Alice Chandler, his father, Sydney Chandler, and, in the past few months, his sisters, Eva Brinklow (Lusk) and Maxine Walt (Lusk). Doug was a devoted son to his mother and father.
An avid biker and classic car enthusiast, Doug enjoyed his annual trips to Daytona Beach and Sturgis with his biker ‘buddies’ and was proud of his many trophies and plaques earned at the car and bike shows. He spent the majority of his career driving transport.
Doug was, a kind and generous soul who loved his cats and dogs, his friends and relatives. He enjoyed coffee with his friends and was always available to lend a helping hand. We will miss him dearly.
Doug’s family has organized a Graveside Service which will be held on Friday, September 16th, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Victoria Cemetery (Hungerford Road, Tweed). All are welcome.
