Douglas Oxner 1929 2022

OXNER, Douglas Stephen James- 92 of Bridgewater. It is with
heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Douglas on June 13, 2022
in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born on August 3, 1929,
he was the son of the late Warren and Ivy (Vogler) Oxner. Douglas
worked for the Canadian Coast Guard for 29 years, retiring in 1991. He
enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved camping
and enjoyed listening to music and going for drives in the car.
Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years, Doris; son Daniel and
granddog Dawson of East Port Medway. He was predeceased by his sister
Ruthie Demone. We would like to thank Lunenburg County Home Support
for the great care that he received these past 2 years, especially
David and Darren. Special thank you to Dr. Thibodeau for his visits to
our home to take care of Doug. Thanks to the Doctors and Nurses and
staff at the South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater, also the
Kentville Hospital for their kindness, and to the V.O.N. There will be
no visitation at the funeral home. Graveside Service will be 2:00pm
Monday in Brookside Cemetery, West Dublin. Family flowers only.
Memorial Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or
the Charity of your choice. Cremation has been entrusted to R.A.
