Obituary
Douglas C. Chapman, 77, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, December 26, 2022. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Clair and Evelyn (Goodwin) Chapman.
Doug worked for many years in the construction industry, he worked for Modern Enterprise and was former owner of Quality Concrete. He was a dedicated and faithful member of Hillside Baptist Church, where he served his church in various capacities over the years, and oversaw the last three additions to the church. He enjoyed boating, golfing and model trains and restoring RV’s and Busses. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, dry wit and his famous one liner’s.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth Chapman (nee Delucry); children, John Chapman and Janet Chapman (Gordon Bristow); granddaughter, Maggie Scarrow; sister-in-law, Mae Chapman; as well several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Ron Chapman.
A Service to Celebrate and Honour Doug’s life will be held at Hillside Baptist Church (2290 Mountain Road) on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 11:00 am. Reception will follow. Interment will take place at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
