Douglas Alexander McNeill 19472022

Douglas Alexander McNeill
1947-2022
Douglas McNeill of Moncton passed into eternity to meet his
Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 13, 2022. Born in Moncton, he was
the son of the late Douglas and Jean (Scott) McNeill.
He fought a battle with cancer for over 6 years, receiving
excellent care from all the health branches that cared for him over
his illness. His family would like to thank all those who donate blood
as Doug was a grateful recipient of those donations.
Doug has retired from CN following a career of over 35 years.
He was an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, where he served in
numerous roles from building maintenance, Sunday School
Superintendent and Chairman of the Deacons. Doug was an avid
outdoorsman; he loved to hunt and fish and play hockey.
Left with fond memories are his loving wife of 50 years,
Peggy (O’Brian) McNeill, daughter, Erica McNeill, sisters:
Elizabeth Wall, Gloria Stevens, Debbie Ells (Gary), brother, David
McNeill (Pauline) as well as several nieces and
nephews.
A service to celebrate Doug’s Life will take place
from the Emmanuel Baptist Church, 187 McLaughlin Dr. Moncton on
Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 11 AM, with Pastor Joel Eastwood
presiding. The interment will take place at Alderwood Cemetery. For
