Passed away peacefully at Ed’s House Hospice in Cobourg on October 20th, 2022 at the age of 92 years
Beloved wife of the late George Brooks. Loving mother of Debra Russell, Jim Brooks (Teresa), Cathy Kamstra (Harry) and Steve Brooks (Helen). Cherished grandma of Brandon (Kennedy), Melissa and the late Jennifer. Adoring great grandmother of Michael. Dear sister of Doug Rahme (Wyllene) and Ileane Zarkovich and the late Sonny and the late Jean Zealand.
Dorothy was born in 1930, she married the love of her life the late George Brooks and was married 58 years they were inseparable. Dorothy enjoyed bowling and was the Captain of her team she won many awards and had a perfect score. She loved music, her passion, playing her Baby Grand Piano, her fingers floating over the keys she could play anything on request. Two of her favourite songs were Unchained Melody & Somewhere in time, everyone loved to hear her play. Dorothy loved to bake her apple pies the star of the show at every holiday feast. Dorothy loved to dress up and wear the perfect hat! She treasured her time and was always surrounded by her children, grandchildren,and great grandchildren. Dorothy said they are what keeps you young & she was always young at heart! Dorothy was a loving mother, granny and great granny

A Private Family service will be held with interment at Bowmanville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ed’s House Hospice.
