Dorothy Eleanora Holte Johnson

Dorothy Johnson went to be with Jesus, the Saviour she had loved served so well on Dec 31 at the age of 101. She was the oldest child of Arthur and Cora Holte and had 5 sisters (Violet – deceased, Margaret – deceased, Joyce – deceased, Lorraine – deceased, Darlene) and 3 brothers (Lloyd – deceased, Vern, Leroy).
Dorothy was married to Leonard Johnson for 53 years before his death in 1996. They spent all of their married life in Hughenden, Alberta. Together they had 5 children: Darrell (Judy) Johnson, Ken (Doris) Johnson, Roger Johnson, Cheryl (Myron) Kraushar, Marvin (Jennie) Johnson. The family has grown to include 13 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Sadly, Marvin predeceased Dorothy but one of the last things she said was, “I’m ready to go. Marvin is waiting for me.”
Although we will miss her terribly, we have the assurance that she is now with her beloved Saviour and with those who have gone before her. It must have been a great reunion.
