Tribute
It is with deep sadness the family of Dorothy Muriel Worgan (nee Watt) announce her quiet passing in the early morning of July 2, 2022 at Mulcaster Mews in Barrie, ON after several months of declining health.
Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Dick Worgan (February 2022) and the daughter of the late Muriel and Stafford Watt of Churchill, ON. She was the younger sister of Eveleen Stewart, Temple Watt and Jean Constable. Loving mother of Judy Gilbert (Steve), the late Bob (2018) and his wife Rosalind, and the late Alan (2019). Dear grandmother of Kate Henderson, Matthew Gilbert (Ania), Erin Worgan (Jenna), Evan Worgan and Maverick Worgan. Great grandmother of Lauren and Jackson Henderson and Leo Gilbert. Aunt of Ian and David Constable. Also remembered by Carol Worgan and friend Marian Vanier.
Dorothy met Dick at his workplace where she operated a comptometer machine and enjoyed a long marriage of almost 76 years while raising her family. They built their first home together in Thistletown, ON, enjoyed many happy summers at the cottage on Six Mile Lake, moved to Goderich for Dick’s work in 1969 and finally a move back to Barrie in 1984 to be closer to family in Churchill. She enjoyed curling, golf and kept active walking with Dick over the years.
Dorothy has been cremated as she wished and her ashes will be interred in St. Peter’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Churchill, ON, in late September at a small family gathering.
Arrangements have been made by the Innisfil Funeral Home.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Dorothy Muriel Watt Worgan May 23 1924 July 2 2022 (age 98)..
