Mom lived to achieve her goal of turning 95 on Christmas Day, choosing Boxing Day 2022 as her departure date. She was many things: the middle of 3 girls — Maxine (deceased) and Marjorie; Lieutenant D. Copland leading a 1947 cadet parade with Chatham Vocational School; executive secretary at Freuhauf Trailer Company (where she met Dad); sales person in an Oakville ladies clothing store; acrylic artist for the past 9 years; mother to only child Brenda (and Dutch) Collard-Mills; and loving wife to Edward (Ted / Teddy Bear) Collard for 60 years until Dad’s death in 2017. She wanted to be reunited with Dad for quite awhile and that mission has now been accomplished.
