It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Dorothy Clara Withers of Creston South announces her passing. Dorothy passed peacefully away on Saturday, September 10th, 2022 at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin surrounded by her loving family after a long battle at the age of 54 years.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her loving and devoted husband Roger of 33 years. Her sons, Jonathan (Jessica) of CBS and Jason (Jenna) of Marystown. The lights of her world, her grandchildren, Alysa, Eva, Clara, Joel and Rory. Her mother, Alice (Paul) of Marystown. Siblings, Phil (April) of Fortune, Rodney (Madonna) of Medicine Hat, AB, and Kim (Brent) of Bay Roberts. Sister-in-law, Juanita (Ken). Nieces, Haley, Philicia and Britney. Nephews, Ryan, Tyler, Ryan and Brent. Special Friends, Stacey, Sandy, Paula, Perry and Al. Plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Dorothy was predeceased by her first love, her dad Leo Stapleton; grandparents, Leo Sr. & Dorothy Stapleton and Berthana and Philip Scott; nephew, Robbie Grandy; and parents-in-law, John & Jane Withers.
Special thank you to Bonnie and team at the Chemotherapy unit, Dr. Moulton and Dr. Patty Power of the cancer clinic. Her special homecare workers, Ella Carol and June and a special thank you to all the staff at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre.
In honoring her wishes cremation will take place.
The Withers Family will be accepting visitors at Peninsula Funeral Home, Creston South on Friday, September 16 from:
2pm – 4pm
7pm – 9pm
Funeral Service to be held at Peninsula Funeral Home, Creston South for family and close friends on a date and time to be announced.
In Dorothy’s memory, in-lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
