Obituary of Doris Marie Farmer
Doris Mary Farmer, Wolfville, passed away March 9, 2022, in the Valley Regional Hospital; just a few days before entering her 90th birthday on March 17. She was the daughter of the late John and Mary Farmer, and the last surviving member of her family.
Doris was a very quiet and private person. She used to work as a domestic; as well as a lot of farmwork. Doris was a very hard-worker and she loved to cook.
She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Doris was predeceased by her bother, Lawrence; her twin brother, Dean; sisters, Marjorie, Evelyn, Winnifred, Kathleen, and Frances.
Cremation has taken place and she will be taken to Winnipeg. Later she will be returned to Nova Scotia to be buried with her family in the Willowbank Cemetery in Wolfville. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).

  1. Doris will always be a Heroine of Avonport. Her kindness just to my family alone , will always be treasured. She was the best cook around There have been many times fresh pies and cookies were in the counter at home from Doris. After Mom passed away Doris always made sure we didn’t go without !
    It has been rumoured she was quite a card player.haha Her sense of humour , and soulful laugh will always stay with me. I am truly saddened with her passing Love to you all
