It is with profound grief and a deep sense of loss that the family of Doris share the news of her passing on March 20th 2022. Doris was a devoted and cherished wife to Aevon for more than sixty-nine years, as she always said, “The love of her life.” She was the foundation and heart of her family. Always there, in any way, throughout their lives, for her children, Gwen Babcock (Mike), Len (Pat McNichols), Terry (Kate Hambrook), Mae (Tim Sheffield), Trina Kelly (Brian), Clair (Michele) and Shelley Gallipeau (Ken) She was a dearly beloved Nan to Katie, Beth (Matthew), Matthew (Ali), Jesse (Rob), Turi (Chanelle), Nancy (Shen), Kanako (Takuro), Cora, Sef, Shea (Ryan), Jay (Courtney), Sam, Chad, Shaun (Kristie), Brent (Amelia), Brandon (deceased) Maggie (Mike), Annie (Matt), Emma, Mollie, Shannon and Hannah (James). Her great grandchildren adored her; Adan, Venus, Alex, Ford, Rhys, Lane, Mack, Bennett, Charlie, Theo and Jack and she showered them with love. Doris was predeceased by her parents Jay and Annie Kearns, her beloved brothers Francis and Clair and sister in laws Shirley Anne and Wilma. She dearly loved her in-laws: John, Jimmy, Ronnie, Ford (Bonnie) Harold (Joan), (deceased), Danny (Linda) and Glen (Freda). Doris had a heart so large that everybody’s joys and sorrows found welcome and comfort in it and her door and table were always open to anyone in need. Family was her greatest treasure and she wove the threads of many parts of it together with her love, her devotion and her commitment to all those she cared for. She had an unwavering faith and special devotion to the Virgin Mary. She will live forever in the eyes of her sons, the smiles of her daughters, the hearts of her grandchildren and the soul of her family.
