ROI: Doris Magdalena, 92, of Tavistock passed away at the Maples Home for Seniors, with family by her side, on Sunday, August 7, 2022.
She was born in East Zorra Township, Oxford County on July 19, 1930 a daughter of the late Nicholas and Luella (Bender) Jutzi.
She was a member of Tavistock Mennonite Church. She married Kenneth Jacob Roi on October 13, 1948. He predeceased her on January 6, 2008. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Cheryl Robertson Cowing (December 22, 2001); her son-in-law, Wayne Wurdell (October 23, 1993); two brothers, Curtis and his wife Betty Jutzi and Lester Jutzi.
Doris is survived by three children, Duane “Simon” Roi, Rose Wurdell, Terry and his wife Monica Roi; grandchildren, David Cowing, Sean Cowing, Rebecca “Becky” Roi, Pamela Copat, Stephanie Strugnell; great grandchildren, Mason, Krystal, Zach, Sophia, Lyla, Jack, Tate; brother Ron Jutzi; sister-in-law Dorothy Jutzi.
Relatives and friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 from 1.30 – 2.45 p.m. where a private family service will be held at 3.00 p.m. Pastor Jim Brown will officiate. Interment in East Zorra Mennonite Cemetery, 16th Line.
