It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Doreen Murphy of Marystown announces her passing. Doreen passed away at Pleasant View Towers in St. John’s on Tuesday, January 11th, 2022 at the age of 70.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her husband David of 50 years; daughter, Gwen Drover (David) of St. John’s; 2 grandchildren, Kaily and Jaden; sisters, Elizabeth McCarthy of St. John’s, Bernice Barnes (Ken) of CBS, Amy Rowlands (Joe) of Little Bay, and Sharon Brake (Tom) of St. John’s; brothers, Angus Walsh (Margaret) of Marystown, Eugene Walsh (Mary) of Little Bay, Tom Walsh (Joan) of Little Bay and Roland Walsh (Philippa) of CBS; sisters-in-law, Brenda Gleason of Marystown, Barbara Spencer of Marystown, Marilyn Dunphy (Keith) of New Brunswick, Joan Warren (Junior) of Salt Pond, and Patsy Inkpen (Terry) of Lewin’s Cove; brother-in-law, Robert Ryan of St. John’s; plus a large number of family and friends.
Doreen was predeceased by her parents, Angus and Mary Walsh; parents-in-law, Fred and Angela Murphy; sister, Ellen “Nellie” Ryan; and niece, Christa Walsh.
Given the COVID-19 situation The Murphy Family has decided not to accept visitors.
A private funeral service will take place at Wiseman’s Funeral Home for family only with an interment to follow at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Little Bay.
