Doreen’s Obituary
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, at the Brantford General Hospital, on Wednesday August 24th, 2022. Doreen is predeceased by her husband James N. Laronde of 62 years. Loving mother of Lorraine Platt (Eric) and Brenda Simpson (the late Peter). Beloved grandmother to Jacinda, Jeremy (Nicole), Geoffrey (Paige), and Janice (Leighton). Great-grandmother to Gabriella, Lillian, and Hazel. She will be dearly missed by extended family and many dear friends.
Doreen loved spending time surrounded by her family, and she especially enjoyed summers at the family cottage. Her faith played a large role in her life, and her church community held a special place in her heart. Doreen shared her love of baking, embroidery and quilting with her family, as they were always recipients of her finished products!
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the DWAYNE D. BUDGELL Funeral Home. To celebrate Doreen’s life, a private family service will be held. In accordance with Doreen’s expressed wishes, cremation has already taken place. In Doreen’s memory, donations made to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
