Doreen Alberta Henry Thursday April 21 2022

Henry, Doreen Alberta – October 24, 1922 – April 21, 2022
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Doreen Henry on Thursday April 21, 2022 in her 100th year at Frost Manor in Lindsay. Doreen was born to Lillian and Herbert Dunn of Lindsay. She was the beloved wife of the late Carl Henry (2006). Loving mother of Carol Ryall and Robert and the late Betty Smit (Hubert) (2009). She was the cherished grandma to James Smit (Angela), Marcus Smith, the late Jason Ryall (2019), Kristy Dargie and Katrina Ryall. Great Grandma to Trisdin, Colby, Madison, Charley and Blair. Carl and Doreen were married in June 1944. In her early years Doreen worked in a busy Lindsay restaurant as a waitress. She gave it up to raise her children, be a homemaker and take customer calls for Carl’s carpentry business. She never stopped working hard to make a house a loving home for her family, friends and pets. Our family would like to thank the great ream at Frost Manor for all their love and kindness for Doreen. Our family would also like to thank her personal support workers for their love and kindness while she was at her home. Visitation will take place at Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Sunday, April 24 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Interment to take place on Monday, April 25 at Hampton Union Cemetery.
