Donna passed away peacefully the morning of February 17th at the age of 84.
Donna leaves behind her beloved husband Angus (Gus), their sons Doug (Laura) of Port Coquitlam, Rob (Karen) of Langley and Don (Carol) of Ladysmith as well as six grandchildren (Kathryn, Alex, David, Kailee, Andrew and Alison) and three great grandchildren (George, Reese and Jace). She is also survived by two sisters, Joyce and Joan.
Donna was born in Regina, Saskatchewan in 1937, the youngest daughter of Fred and Sarah Courtenay. She had three sisters (Eileen, Joyce and Joan) and two brothers (Kenneth and Murray). Donna graduated from the Grey Nuns Nursing School in Regina in 1958. She married Gus in 1959 and they recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. Over her long career, she worked in Regina (pediatric), Prince Rupert (private clinic and seniors care) and White Rock (seniors care) until retiring in 1988.
Donna had an infectious laugh and enjoyed gardening, baking, crosswords, singing and the odd glass of red wine. She was a long time member of the United Church and her faith carried her through her life. Donna loved her family, and enjoyed spending time with them. Sunday dinners and camping trips were favorite times to be together.
