1950-2022
The passing of Donna Eileen Hubbard of St. George NB occurred
at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on February 28,
2022. Born in Blacks Harbour NB on June 1, 1950, she was a daughter of
the late Delang and Marguerite (McLaughlin) Hubbard. A loving mother,
grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Donna is survived by her
children: Lee Hubbard (Tracey) of Edmonton AB, Lou MacDonald (Sheri)
of Winslow PE and Shawn Field (Robin) of Calgary AB; her
grandchildren: Lee-anne Reddekopp (Paul), Kilah Hubbard and Lukas
MacDonald; great-grandchildren: Walker, Fallyn and Creed Reddekopp and
Zayden Hubbard; one brother: Delang Hubbard (Angela) of Saint John NB;
one sister: Cecilia Hubbard of Blacks Harbour NB; several nieces,
nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased
by her sisters: Linda Greenlaw and Gloria Hubbard; and one nephew:
Irving Greenlaw.
Prior to retirement, Donna worked in several sectors in the
local area including food service, retail and fish processing. Donna
was a simple lady who enjoyed playing Bingo, knitting, crocheting and
listening to music. She was an animal lover who especially loved cats
and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion
#39, Blacks Harbour.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home
(755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. There will be no visiting
or funeral service. In Donna’s memory, donations to the Diabetes
Association or to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation would be
appreciated by the family.
