Obituary of Donald Francis Cross
It is with great sadness the family of Donald Francis Cross announce his sudden passing on Tuesday April 18th 2022 at the Windsor Elms.
Donnie or Mr. C as he was affectionately known to many was born in Halifax Nova Scotia and is the son of the late Beatrice Irene Cross Lowe and Cyrl Roland Cross. Don was a lifelong legion member and a die-hard Canadians and Blue Jays fan. He was often found dancing at the shore club or walking the malls. Don is survived by his children Donnie (Inez) and Susie (Tom) his grandchildren, Chelsey (Christian), Breanna (Nathan), Donald (Brandi), Summer (Josh) and his six beloved great grandchildren as well as his siblings, Donna (Ken), Jake (Anne), Barb (Eddie) and Rob (Donna). Don is predeceased by his siblings, Dwight, Philip, Jim and Elizabeth.
Sincerest thanks and gratitude to the staff of the Windsor Elms and the staff of the QE2 7th Floor for all their care and support to Don in his last years.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday the 27th of April 2022 from 2pm-5pm at Don’s second home the Fairview Legion Branch 142 – 50 Hillcrest St., Halifax, NS. Memorial donations in Dons name can be made to The Legion Branch 142 or The Canadian Heart and Stroke foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
