Obituary of Donald Allen Paton
PATON- Donald Allen “Dan” went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Friday, August 26, 2022 in his 59th year. Dan will be dearly missed by his siblings Sharon (Jim) Malott of Southwold, Faye (Frank) Veraart of Iona Station, David (Jeanette) Paton of Dutton, Richard (Cobi) Paton of Iona Station, Teresa (Brian) Cochrane of Strathclair, Manitoba, and Brian Paton of St. Thomas. He is greatly loved by his many nieces and nephews, and his great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Lloyd and Flossie (Lilley) Paton, by his sister Janet (Ron) Ripley, by his nephew Steven Paul Malott, and by his niece Lorrie Murphy. Dan was a man of very strong faith, and attended Iona Christian Fellowship Church. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 pm. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, August 29, 2022 at 1:00 pm. Interment in Cowal-McBride Cemetery. If desired, donations to Tsi Nu Yoyantle Na Tuhuwatisni Oneida Long/Term Care Home – Activity Department or Elgin Area Bible Club will be gratefully acknowledged.
