Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Richard Allen in the Palliative Care Unit after a short illness, at the age of 77 years, surrounded by his family. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 58 years, Pauline (McDonald); 3 children: Sean Allen (Fort McMurray), Kelly (Jeff) Browning (Meadows), Glenn (Karen) Allen (Steady Brook); 2 Grandsons: Gregory (Nicole) Browning, and Ian (Breanna) Browning; 4 Great Grandchildren: Chase, Noah, Lacey, and Joseph; step-grandchildren, Lisa (Rob), Bryenton and William Rumbolt; Step-great-grandchildren: Jamie, Jodie, and Allie; Brothers and Sisters: Reg, Ina (George) Earle, Calvin (Donna), Shirley Dicks, Jean (Eugene) Hamlyn, Linda Coombs, and Rhonda Porter; In-laws: Juanita Dower, Mike (Pat) McDonald, Jim McDonald, Ishbelle (Gilbert) Leblanc, Judy Bale, Loretta Gallant, Ken (Mary) McDonald, Arlene McDonald, Lorne Murley, Cassie Allen, and Carrie McDonald. Donald is predeceased by his parents, Elijah and Eileen (Snooks) Allen; Brothers: Russell and Max Allen; Sister, Beulah Murley; In-laws: Jim and Margaret (Robertson) McDonald, Edward McDonald, Bernard McDonald, Dave Gallant, Denny Callahan, Ted Bale, Frank Dower, John Dicks, and Jack Coombs. Donald also leaves behind a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home on Friday, February 25th, 2022 from the hours of 2:00 pm-4:00 pm and 7:00 pm-9:00 pm, and Saturday February 26th, 2022 from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm and 7:00 pm-9:00 pm. Private interment to take place at later date. Donations can be made to the SPCA or a charity of one’s choice.
