Obituary
Donald Michael Gordon Aylward, 49, of St. John’s, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 13th.
Michael was born on September 8th 1972, to Brian & Gail, at the Grace Hospital in St. John’s.
Following high school at Bishops College, he studied Neuroscience at MUN, and IT at the Cabot Institute.
After completing his education, he began an IT career that included stints with Arthur Anderson LLP, Deloitte, IBM and the Government of Nova Scotia among others.
Michael never married or had children of his own, but nephew Angus & niece Briana held a special place in his heart. He loved nothing more than hitting the trails with his canine companion, Maya, who was with him to the very end.
Michael was predeceased by his father Brian.
He is survived by his mother Gail, brother Ian, Godmother Maureen Taylor, and a large contingent of incredibly devoted cousins, aunts, uncles & friends.
No funeral or wake is immediately planned. There will be a service later this year and the family will notify loved ones with details.
