Donald Lewis “Don”
Lynds – 89, Onslow
Mountain, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at
Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Onslow Mountain,
he was a son of the late Alfred and Cecilia (Crowe)
Lynds.
Don worked at Domtar Ltd. in Bible Hill for 38 years and ran
a small beef farm and woodlot for many years. He was a man of few

made. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, walking in the woods on his
property or at the camp. He also loved travelling with his camper
around Nova Scotia, as well as two very special trips with family to
Mont Carmel, Prince Edward Island.
Don is survived by his wife of 68 years, Helen (McNutt)
Lynds; children, Elaine (Danny) Lombard, Truro; Wayne (Kelly) Lynds,
Bible Hill; Charlene (Terry) MacKenzie, Onslow Mountain; Alfred
(Julie) Lynds, Onslow Mountain; grandchildren, Ryan (Erin) Lombard,

Andrew Lynds, Truro; Ben Lynds, Onslow; Kyle (Kelsey) MacKenzie,
Porters Lake; Katie MacKenzie, Dartmouth; great grandchildren, Gus,
Gladys, Goldie; siblings, Rose, Jane, Darlene, Joan, Willie,
Eric.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his grandson,
Dillan; siblings Robert, Foster, Murray, Irene, Phyllis,
Irma.
Interment will be held at a later date in Bible Hill
Cemetery, 41 Warren Drive, Bible Hill. In lieu of flowers or
