SIMPSON, Donald L.
July 30, 1923 – November 7, 2022
It is with sadness that we announce the death of Donald Simpson of Windsor at South Wood Lakes Extendicare. Son of the late Linnie and John “Ted” Simpson. Linda and Darlene were blessed to spend the last few days with Don including his passing. Don leaves Linda Hollingsworth, Darlene Anklewich, the late Beverly and Fred Toews and several other close cousins. Don was blessed to have the late Elva Boose as his dear friend, her family Gary and Norma Boose, Carol and Raymond Snow, Lori and Tom King and other friends. Don was a member of the Mississauga Senior Centre where he was very interested in Square Dancing under the superb caller Bill Hands and instructor Marilyn Hands. Don was an educator, and retired from teaching and counseling, finishing his career at George Brown College in Toronto. He was a committee member that was involved in changing the curriculum into semesters and eliminating grade 13. He also had a love for poetry, especially reciting it. A heartfelt word of appreciation to the staff at South Wood Lakes for the past couple of years. He enjoyed their love, support and care. Don Enjoyed calling South Wood Lakes his home. A special thank you from his family. Visiting will take place at Reid Funeral Home, 87 Maidstone Ave. E., Es on Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 10 am until time of Funeral Service to celebrate Don’s life at 11 am. Rev. Linda Hollingsworth officiating. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army or the charity of choice would be greatly appreciated.
